Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon), a tiny island nation south of India in the Indian Ocean, is a rugged land of rainforest, diverse wildlife and endless beaches. It’s famed for its ancient Buddhist ruins, including the 5th-century citadel Sigiriya, with its palace and frescoes, and the sacred city of Anuradhapura. Its flavorful cuisine reflects its history as a maritime hub and cultural melting pot.

GALLE- Galle is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the southwestern tip, 119 km from Colombo. Galle is the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District. Galle is the fifth largest city in Sri Lanka after the capital Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna and Negombo. Other prominent landmarks in Galle include the city’s natural harbor, the National Maritime Museum, St. Mary’s Cathedral founded by Jesuit priests, one of the main Shiva temples on the island, and Amangalla the historic luxury hotel.

KANDY -Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city’s heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), popular for strolling. It’s famed for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, and for its Esala Perahera annual procession.

COLOMBO- Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, is a bustling city and a hopping-off point for beaches in the island nation’s south. It has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its spicy cuisine as well as its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls.

DAY 1 - Colombo – Pinnawala - Kandy

Arrive in Colombo. Proceed to Kandy via Pinnawala elephant orphanage – a home to the retired and orphaned Elephants.

DAY 2 - Kandy – Peradeniya - Kandy

Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Temple of the Tooth Relic, the Peradeniya University Campus, and catch a panoramic view of the town from Upper Lake Drive. Enjoy the traditional Sri Lankan dance show in the evening. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 3 - Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en-route visit the Anjaneear (Hanuman) temple of Ramayana Trail in Ramboda, followed by a visit to a Tea factory. Arrive at Nuwara Eliya in the evening.

DAY 4 - Nuwara Eliya – Hakgala – Colombo

Proceed to Hakgala. Visit the Sita Amman Temple – According to tradition, the site is associated with Sita of the Ramayana epic. Ancient statues of Rama and Sita can be seen on a side of the temple. Later visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens (Ashok Va tika) – one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana. Arrive at Colombo in the evening. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 5 - Departure

Morning check out & transfer to airport to board the flight for your hometown.
